After a car accident, Peter's existence as the Invisible Man is revealed to the world. While trying to cope and come to terms with the newfound publicity, a neighbor girl asks him to stop a murder.

Peter comes to the assistance of an actress who inadvertently ran over and killed a hobo while driving. A blackmailer saw the accident and is threatening to go public unless she pays him.

A woman comes to Peter asking for help in rescuing her husband, a Russian sailor who wants to defect. However, when Peter boards the ship, he realizes that it's a trap.

When Peter and his sister Diane head to the airport, they're surprised to find that everyone's luggage is being painstakingly examined. Diane is convinced that a fur coat is being used for smuggling.
